Gary Dicker is an Irish football coach and former professional midfielder who enjoyed a 15-year playing career across Ireland, England and Scotland, representing clubs including Brighton & Hove Albion and Kilmarnock. Following his retirement in 2022, he transitioned into coaching at Brighton, progressing from the Under-18s to the Under-21s coaching staff and gaining valuable experience in elite player development. In November 2024, he moved to the United States to become Head Coach of Crown Legacy FC, Charlotte FC’s MLS NEXT Pro team, before being promoted to First Team Assistant Coach at Charlotte FC in January 2026.
His journey from professional player to academy coach, head coach and MLS first-team staff provides valuable insight into career development, leadership and the transition from academy football to the senior game.
