Dr Lee-Ann Sharp is a Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Psychology at Ulster University’s School of Sport & Exercise Science, where she teaches and conducts research on the social-psychological aspects of sport participation and performance.
Lee-Ann’s work focuses on understanding and enhancing the effectiveness of sport psychology consulting, the quality of consultant–athlete and consultant–coach relationships, and practitioner wellbeing within high-performance environments.
She has an international research portfolio including influential studies on psychological safety in sport, consultant effectiveness from both athlete and consultant perspectives, and strategies to support applied practitioners.
In addition to her academic contributions, Lee-Ann brings over 15 years of applied sport psychology experience, supporting elite athletes and coaches through institutes such as Sports Ireland and Sport Northern Ireland.
